The course was organized within the framework of the ENPI Horizon 2020 CB/MEP project in collaboration with SWIM-Support Mechanism.
It involved the participation of 25 representatives from relevant Ministries, public agencies and water utilities, including from the following SWIM Partner Countries: Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia.
The course served to familiarize the participants with the concept of PPP for different projects, identification of risks and risk sharing methods as well as their implications. It consisted of four main parts: (1) Background and type of PSPs (Private Sector Participation)and selection methodology, (2) Enabling environment and risk management and allocation (3) Financial considerations and modelling, and (4) Case studies.
